What Is Pay-Per-Click Advertising?

PPC is a type of online advertising in which advertisers get charged each time a user clicks on one of their online adverts. PPC advertisements come in a variety of forms, but
one of the most prevalent is the sponsored search ad. These advertisements show when individuals use a search engine like Google to search for items online, especially when they’re doing commercial searches, which means they’re looking for something to buy.
This may be anything from a mobile search (for example, someone looking for “pizza
near me”) to a local service search (someone looking for a dentist or a plumber in their
neighbourhood), to someone shopping for a present (“Mother’s Day flowers”) or a
high-end item such as business software. All of these queries result in pay-per-click ads.
Businesses who run advertisements in pay-per-click advertising are only compensated
when a user clicks on their ad, hence the name “pay-per-click.” Display advertising
(usually providing banner advertisements) and remarketing are two more types of PPC
advertising.
